SNX nVision Manual Banding and Trimming Tables Updated
SNX has updated our popular optional banding and trimming tables for the nVision series of contour banders. In place of the previous black phenolic, we now use a white-faced version that provides a smoother surface. Each table is mounted on the same fabricated steel frame, and is able to be positioned up and down on the machine via a locking lever. The trimming station version also maintains the ability to swing clear of the cutting position in order to use the vacuum pod arm. These tables are quite useful for positioning small parts for banding, in particular where the vacuum pod diameter may interfere with placement of the part close enough to the banding spindles.
WORKS WITH LONG, NARROW PARTS, TOO
SNX closet and furniture company customers report that the tables have also been very effective for banding long, narrow parts. In the video clip below, notice how the table easily supports a commercial desk part's leg clearance cutout. Positioning a standard vacuum pod to accommodate the thin section of the part would have been more difficult.

Electronic Digital Readouts Available for nVision Trimming Stations
SNX nVision contour banding customers who make frequent adjustments of edge band trimming settings for new panel thicknesses now have a way make precision changes faster and easier. With large LCD screens, SNX electronic digital readouts (DROs) show a number value for the adjustments of all cutter placement orientations. The digital readouts (DROs) can be "zero" referenced at any time. The digital number displays further enhances operators' abilities to create perfect trimmed edges down with sub-millimeter control. The DROs are available as a field retrofit kit for SNX nVision customers with manual adjustments. (Contact Lori Doll

New Larger Glue Pot Option for nVision Contour Edgebander
SNX's contour edgebanding customers now have an option for their US-made nVision
machine to help have more heated EVA glue available for banding. An optional new larger glue pot offers three times greater glue capacity than the standard nVision glue pot. A 1000 watt, six-inch ring heater provides rapid melting and temperature control with the glue. The new glue pot is designed for consistent circulation of the melted glue to the auger. The pot itself is coated with Teflon for easier glue clean-up and pellet type changeover.
